Tehreem Janjua
Tehreem Janjua is a 20-year-old from Windsor–LaSalle whose life is guided by empathy, curiosity, and a deep commitment to serving others. Known for her warm, outgoing nature and ability to connect with people from all walks of life, she believes that compassion should always be paired with action. Whether supporting individuals during difficult moments, uplifting her community through volunteer work, advocating for greater access to education and healthcare, or creating opportunities that empower women, Tehreem is driven by the belief that meaningful change begins with genuine care for others.
Tehreem is an Honours undergraduate student at the University of Windsor majoring in Forensic Science and Human Biology with aspirations of becoming a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Her passion for dentistry is rooted in service and access to care. She volunteers in dental clinics assisting clinicians during patient care while supporting individuals experiencing pain, anxiety, or limited access to oral healthcare. Through this work, she has seen how restoring oral health can restore confidence, dignity, and quality of life.
Alongside her clinical volunteering, Tehreem has assisted in forensic science research examining human decomposition and recently began conducting her own research exploring how teeth change after death in different environmental conditions. By studying how dental enamel responds over time, her work helps forensic professionals better estimate time since death, improving identification processes and helping provide answers and closure for families.
After her family experienced the challenges of her siblings battling cancer, Ronald McDonald House Charities provided them with stability and a home away from home during a difficult time. In gratitude, Tehreem now volunteers weekly at Ronald McDonald House within Windsor Regional Hospital, contributing over 100 volunteer hours and preparing warm meals for families staying close to their loved ones receiving care.

This year, Tehreem’s platform focuses on The Citizens Foundation (TCF), a global nonprofit organization that provides underprivileged children in Pakistan with access to education by building and operating schools in underserved communities. These schools are fully staffed by women, creating meaningful employment opportunities in a society where workforce participation for women can be limited. Having been privileged to grow up with access to opportunities, Tehreem cares deeply for her people and her roots. She strongly believes that women have a place in society to receive education, gain employment, and stand on their own, and that these opportunities should never be taken away, no matter where someone comes from. She is currently working to establish a TCF chapter at the University of Windsor from the ground up, mobilizing students through fundraising initiatives, awareness campaigns, and community engagement, helping create educational opportunities for children while empowering women to take their place in society.
In addition to her academic and volunteer work, Tehreem has worked with Suzy Shier – Le Château for nearly four years, taking on roles from sales associate to team lead while creating an environment where women feel heard, understood, confident, and beautiful in their own skin.
Recompeting in 2026 as a delegate for Miss Windsor–LaSalle, Tehreem brings strengthened leadership, compassion, and a continued commitment to service as she works to uplift others and give back to the community that helped shape her journey.
