Julia Chapman
Have you ever looked in the mirror and questioned your worth?
Julia is a 25-year-old young woman who, as a child, overcame a speech impediment through dedicated speech therapy. That early challenge shaped her resilience, sharpened her focus, and instilled in her the determination to never give up. With unwavering perseverance, she graduated from college with a diploma in Public Relations and earned the Academic Distinction Award for achieving a 4.0 GPA.
Competing in the 2019 Via Italia Pageant became the spark that ignited Julia’s journey of self-discovery. It was there that she began building confidence and uncovering the powerful voice within her. Like many journeys, however, hers took an unexpected detour when she faced an eating disorder — a battle that deepened her empathy and strengthened her resolve.
Today, Julia is deeply passionate about mental health advocacy and raising awareness for the National Eating Disorder Information Centre (NEDIC), which provides vital online and phone support to individuals affected by eating disorders. She is also actively
involved with EVOLVE WINDSOR, supporting fundraising initiatives that benefit community organizations dedicated to mental health resources and awareness.
For Julia, this pageant represents far more than competition. It is a milestone — a celebration of how far she has come since first stepping onto the stage in 2019 and of everything she has overcome: bullying, being called “stupid,” navigating a speech impediment, battling an eating disorder, and confronting mental health struggles. Through it all, she has emerged stronger, more confident, and more compassionate.

That renewed confidence has empowered her to live authentically and embrace new opportunities, including modeling in Toronto and Windsor for shows such as Transition to Betterness, Windsor Fashion Show, International Women’s Day, St. Clair College Atelier Show, RAW Artists Canada, and the Content Creation Show.
Julia is also the founder of the digital platform “Great Peace of Freedom,” a space created to foster open conversations about body positivity, self-acceptance, and personal growth. The name reflects her belief that true strength lies in vulnerability and that true beauty is found not in perfection, but in the courage to live authentically and in the kindness that radiates from within.
For Julia, this pageant is not about a title or a sash — it is about honoring the little girl who once felt small, unheard, and invisible. Today, when Julia looks in the mirror, she sees a young woman who has found her voice, embraced her uniqueness, and chosen to live boldly as her bubbly, quirky, compassionate, and confident self — a woman who has discovered the message when we live authentically, we discover both peace and freedom.
