Meaghan Gillespie

Meaghan Gillespie is 35 years old, a wife, and mother to 4 beautiful children. She participated in the Miss Canada Pageant in 2023, and had such an inspirational, amazing experience that she decided to enter the Miss Windsor Pageant. She aspires to be a role model for women and young mothers who aspire to achieve their dreams and goals despite their fears, failures, age, and circumstances. She has 2 daughters of her own who inspire her to be the best version of herself, so the opportunity to become Miss Windsor would be an accomplishment that mirrors that goal and desire.

For her platform, Meaghan would like to advocate for women and young mothers who want to pursue their post-secondary education or finish high school and continue their studies at a college or university. To Meaghan, education is so important. As a young mother herself who didn’t complete her post-secondary education, she can speak from her own experience and encourage other women to pursue their education, and that it’s never too late, as she recently applied for the Fall semester of 2024 to the University of Windsor for Psychology. She would support charities in alignment with that cause such as Our Lady of Guadalupe Home, IODE Canada, and the Soroptimist Foundation. Her main focus would be Our Lady of Guadalupe Home as it is locally based in Windsor, and they provide opportunity and support for continued education for the young women and mothers there, making financial independence possible.

One of Meaghan’s main goals is to obtain a University degree in psychology and go to teacher’s College afterward, to become an elementary school teacher. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing books and poetry, spending time with her family, volunteering at church, and being involved in local programs/fundraisers that help those in need in our community.
