Addison Roorda

Addison Roorda is an 18-year-old born and raised on the east end of town, Belle River, Ontario. She is currently enrolled at St. Clair College for Health Sciences and earning her certificate in Spring 2024. To further her education, she will be enrolled in a Pre-Service Firefighter program to eventually achieve her goal of being a proud and brave firefighter for our beautiful city we call Windsor. Since running through fire isn’t quite enough, Addison also aspires to become a business owner. She is currently a Lash Technician in training, hoping to build a clientele and open new doors for the world of beauty. As of right now, Addison is a lifeguard / swim instructor in Belle River, teaching all ages water safety and how to push themselves to truly do their best.

Being the youngest of 3, Addison felt as though she grew up in the shadows of her older siblings. This feeling followed her from home to the classroom, and even to outings with friends. As Covid came along, that feeling no longer became something she could tolerate, it was something she had to change. Post-Covid, Addison’s senior year, she participated in her high school’s Theatre club to go on and perform the Broadway musical Chicago. She started to branch out into society and created numerous connections to discover the local Miss Windsor pageant.

Addison wishes to be a role model for all ages, for anyone wanting to step out of the shadows and make their mark. She is always finding ways to encourage others through everything she does in hopes of being an uplifting figure in their lives that she didn’t always have. She feels more than honoured to be surrounded by such amazing women with such different experiences to support her through this journey.
