Sofia DiMario is a 20-year-old from Windsor Ontario. Sofia is representing Hiatus House for her platform of choice. Hiatus house provides emergency services, support, shelter, and fresh start recovery programs for victims of domestic violence. Sofia is currently working on her future goal of becoming a hairdresser and plans to open and run her own salon in the future. Sofia hopes to use her hairstyle career to provide support for women suffering from cancer and hair loss and offer free hair services for women suffering from domestic violence to help them feel beautiful and empowered.

After the Loss of her father in 2019 and an injury ending her gymnastics career in 2020, Sofia discovered her strength and resiliency through pageantry and volunteer work. Pageantry became a passion for Sofia. It has helped her gain confidence and improved her self-worth. Through pageantry, Sofia made wonderful friendships and learned the importance of supporting others. Sofia has participated in numerous volunteer endeavors to support Windsor Essex including The Red Cross, The Optimist Club, The Bloody Good Riversiders, and the Children’s Aid Society of Windsor Essex.

Sofia hopes to be a role model for young women and provide the courage to live by the motto “Don’t let your fear of falling keep you from flying”.
