Ashley Dunn

Ashley Dunn is a 18 year-old who was born and raised in Windsor Essex County, primarily in Kingsville. Currently, she is a dedicated student at St Clair College and studying Business Administration Marketing. She further plans to expand her knowledge by doing internships and possibly furthering her education to a university level. Ashley aspires to eventually open a chain of cafes that has unique elements such as used books for sale and even a monthly animal day, collaborating with the local humane society to showcase animals in hopes of getting them adopted. Ashley has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to community involvement. Her volunteer efforts have spanned diverse organizations, including Discovery Childcare, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Bridge, United Way, and the Windsor Humane Society. Through these experiences, she has emerged as an active and passionate member of the community.

As a candidate for Miss Windsor 2024, Ashley was given the opportunity to have a charity of choice and has chosen The Windsor Humane Society. This decision is deeply rooted in her personal connection with the organization. The Windsor Humane Society played a crucial role in Ashley’s life, providing her with cherished animal companions from childhood to the present. Her commitment to this cause is not only a reflection of her gratitude but also a sincere desire to improve the lives of animals in need.

Ashley’s journey has been marked by resilience and determination, having faced the challenges of a difficult upbringing. Raised by her grandparents due to her parents’ individual struggles, financial constraints became an additional hurdle. Despite these difficulties, Ashley has consistently strived to excel academically, participate in extracurricular activities, and maintain a positive outlook on life. Her unwavering belief in the brighter future ahead has fueled her commitment to being a role model for her siblings and others. One of her favorite quotes being “there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel”. Ashley’s story is one of inspiration and tenacity, making her a remarkable role model for people of all ages.

In joining the Miss Windsor community, Ashley expresses both excitement and gratitude. Eager to embark on this journey, she looks forward to the opportunities and experiences that lie ahead.
