Julia Masciotra is a proud Windsorite. She graduated during the pandemic and received an Ontario Diploma in Public Relations from St. Clair College. Julia is an effective communicator and passionate about the Body Positivity Movement and spreading the message that all bodies are beautiful bodies. Her motto stems from a pageant she participated in: “Whether you are size two or size 24: you’re still beautiful. We’re all beautiful”.

Julia started doing pageants in 2019 after doing the Erie Street Miss. Via Italia. She even participated in the Miss. Universe Canada Southwestern Ontario Pageant. After joining pageants, she found her platform to talk about body positivity. Julia wants to continue spreading awareness and help others love their body the way it is, and to promote self-love. One organization that Julia wants to help is BANA: the Bulimia Anorexia Nervosa Association in Windsor. As the BANA statement quotes, “BANA is a leader in the promotion and acceptance of diverse body shapes and sizes through the adoption of a healthy, balanced lifestyle”. Julia believes in the mission statement and values at BANA. As always, the best kind of love is putting yourself first.
