Avery Blazevich
Avery Blazevich is an 18 year old who was born in Windsor, Ontario. She is a student at the University of Windsor in the Concurrent Visual Arts program. Upon graduation Avery will have completed a bachelor’s degree in visual arts, and teaching degree. Avery has recently discovered her passion for teaching and creating an impact in the classroom while volunteering her time at St. Joseph’s Catholic High School as a teaching assistant.
After being a victim of a scam Avery has realized how important it is to raise awareness for internet safety by educating students in her community. Avery has had the opportunity to guest speak in many classrooms to help raise awareness. She speaks about how to recognize a scam, gives safety tips and addresses the dangers of the internet.
The Safety Village is an organization that is significant to Avery. The safety village is committed to providing safety and injury-prevention education programs to residents of Windsor Essex. Avery’s goal for this year is to continue raising awareness in the community to prevent crime and reach the targeted audiences. With the title of Miss. Windsor Avery believes that she would have the opportunity to create a greater impact in the community by reaching a larger audience to help improve safety in our community.
