Gillian Marshall is 22 years old and recently graduated from Wayne State University. She just received her Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Theatre and Dance in May from the University after 4 years of consistent hard work. While there, Gillian worked as a resident advisor with students of all ages and lived on the international student floor with students from all over the world. During her time there, she was able to experience cultures and languages that expanded her knowledge, acceptance, and compassion for other cultures and countries. After graduating, Gillian became part of the Spago Restaurante family and is working as a server and assistant manager. In her free time, Gillian volunteers at Belle River District High School for their drama program and 2023 school musical.

A huge accomplishment of Gillian’s is having the opportunity to work with Benj Pasek and Justin Paul when they came to Windsor for a theatre song workshop. As well as receiving the Libro Scholarship Award in 2018 for her substantial contribution of volunteer hours in the community.

Gillian’s biggest passions are singing, her family and animals including her cats Leo and Anubis. One organization that is particularly important to Gillian, is the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society. Gillian believes that the human-animal bond is a mutually beneficial relationship that can be essential to the health and well-being of both. Including emotional, psychological, and physical interactions of people, animals, and the environment. “The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society is a safe refuge offering rescue and relief for animals in need – providing compassionate care, treatment, and rehabilitation.”

Although this is not Gillian’s first time onstage, it is indeed her first-ever pageant. She is excited for the new relationships and experiences this opportunity has brought to her and will bring her. She has always been an active participant in her community and will continue to be. Gillian hopes to always inspire others to follow their heart and strive for success with their passion while also giving back to the community.
